Paying fees
If you are not entitled to the free entitlement or you are using this for additional child care, payment must be received by the end of the first week of each half term in advance. If this is not paid you risk losing your child’s place.
Funding Explained -
You may be able to get 30 hours of funded early education and childcare per week for up to 38 weeks a year.
What you get depends on your child’s age and your family’s situation.
Funded childcare for working families
If you’re working, you may get funded hours for up to 38 weeks a year.
• 9 months to 2 years - 30 hours a week
• 3 and 4 year olds - 30 hours a week (an extra 15 hours on top of the 15 hours for all 3 and 4 year olds).
Who can get funded childcare for working families?
It's not about how many hours you work - it's about how much you earn.
To qualify, you (and your partner) must earn at least 16 hours' pay at National Minimum Wage or Living Wage. It doesn’t matter if you work fewer than 16 hours - as long as your earnings meet the threshold. You may still qualify if you get certain benefits and your partner works.
You will not qualify if:
•Your child does not usually live with you
•You or your partner earn over £100,000 a year
How to apply
You will need to:
•Check you qualify at at Best Start in Life (GOV.UK)
• Set up a childcare account (takes 20 minutes) to get an 11-digit Share the code, your NI number, and your child’s date of birth with your nursery.
• Reconfirm every 3 months to keep eligibility active.
Universal Funding for all 3 & 4 year old's
All 3 and 4 year olds get 15 hours of funded early education and childcare a week for up to 38 weeks a year.
It starts on the term after your child's third birthday. These start on 1 January, 1 April or 1 September.

Things to remember
The first time that we claim for your child’s free entitlement you will be required to complete an Early Years Free Entitlement declaration form and we will need to see your child’s birth certificate as proof of eligibility.
You will then need to complete an EYFE declaration form at the beginning of each term.
It is your responsibility to ensure that you have completed the correct forms by the correct date.
We only offer 15 hours at Sandringham but if you qualify for 30 hours and wish to split this with us and another setting we will need to be aware of this to ensure we are claiming the correct funding.
If you wish to cancel your child’s place before the end of the academic year we require one terms notice. Please notify the school in writing if this is the case.
